The tweet went like this: “nick jonas and joe jonas thanks for donating $30,000 to help us help haiti”
but Joe Jonas went a step further, and stated on the red carpet at the 2010 Critics’ Choice Awards that he wished to go over to Haiti to help out in person.
“I think I might go, to do some relief work. I’m going to try; I’m going to try to get there.”
“[I can get there] either this Tuesday or, like, two or three weeks from now. I can’t promise I’m going to go, but I’m going to try,” he insisted. “I really want to be able to support in any way I can; I was going to go to Haiti before, to do similar work there. But now it’s obviously a completely different thing and my heart goes out to those people there and the families and everything.”
“I just pray that everybody’s alright, and I’m going to try and do my best by getting there,” he said. “And I would definitely say, if anyone can give money or support, it’s the perfect way to do it.”
The brothers are part of a string of Disney stars who have reached out to help victims in Haiti, including Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez.
